Service FAQs

Common questions about our services and pricing.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, personal checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). Payment is due at the time of service.

Why are notary fees set at $10 per signature?

Washington State law sets the maximum fee a notary may charge at $10 per notarial act. This ensures fair and consistent pricing across the state. Travel fees and convenience fees are separate from the statutory notary fee.

How long does a typical appointment take?

Most notarizations take 10-15 minutes. If you have multiple documents or complex paperwork, please let us know when booking so we can allocate appropriate time. Real estate closings typically take 45-60 minutes.

What ID do I need to bring?

You will need a current, government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license, state ID, passport, or military ID. The ID must not be expired and must clearly show your name, photograph, and signature.

Can you notarize documents in foreign languages?

Yes, documents in any language can be notarized. The signer must understand the contents of the document and be able to communicate directly with the notary or through an interpreter you provide.

What is the difference between an apostille and notarization?

A notarization verifies the identity of the signer and witnesses the signing. An apostille is an additional certification from the Secretary of State that authenticates the notary's signature and seal, making the document valid for use in foreign countries that are members of the Hague Convention.
